Wide range of technologies available
The classic passive LCD is a TN cell. Greenish background and gray-black segments. In the meantime, however, this technology has evolved considerably. Today's displays offer everything from a white background to perfect black and white contrast. Whereas the first displays were mainly segment displays, matrix displays dominate today. Each technology has its strengths. We will be happy to advise you on which is suitable for your project.
Fully customized
Passive LCDs can be used very flexibly, and some color is also possible in the form of back printing or RGB lighting. Our smallest LCD fits into a key with a screen diagonal of half an inch. LCD solutions with low power consumption, e.g. for Atex applications, can be implemented using particularly low-power drivers. To exploit the full potential of passive LCDs, all our monochrome liquid crystal displays are fully customized, from the glass to the lighting.
