Modern overall concept
A TFT is particularly effective when combined with other elements. Starting with a sophisticated graphic interface, which can contain significantly more complex graphics thanks to the higher resolution, through to integration into the end product with the help of front glass and integrated touch. The development and the required hardware are correspondingly more complex, which must also be taken into account when switching from a passive LCD to a TFT.
Full or semi-customized
A customized TFT cell requires a relatively high initial investment. For smaller quantities, it is therefore advisable to use standard cells, for which certain standard sizes have now been established on the market. All other components of a module can be modified. The lighting can be adapted, as can the touch and a customized cover glass with individual printing. We can help you choose the right TFT, also in terms of long-term availability.
Color despite low power consumption
One challenge of TFTs is their low light transmission, which means that a relatively strong backlight is required. This in turn drives up power consumption. However, there is now also a selection of alternative TFT technologies, so that color displays are becoming conceivable for more and more applications. Power-saving touchscreens are also available to match.
