Obsolescence management
The supply chain disruptions of recent years and increased geopolitical uncertainties have increased the priorities for securing supplies in many areas. In the TFT display sector in particular, the risk of discontinuation is also an important aspect, especially for certified products. We have therefore been offering you various options for many years to protect yourself against unexpected bottlenecks or discontinuations. And even if the worst comes to the worst and changes are necessary, we will support you competently and promptly.
We store
One way of counteracting supply bottlenecks or obsolescence is to store components and parts that may no longer be available or are no longer manufactured. We can keep buffer quantities in stock for you in our German warehouse. We are in close contact with our suppliers. In the event of discontinuations, we will inform you in good time with the option of a last time buy, so that existing products can be manufactured from stock for years to come. It goes without saying that all components are stored professionally under controlled conditions.
Replacement and lifetime support guarantee
If a component or a certain material is no longer available or is no longer manufactured, a redesign may be necessary. This is particularly the case when large quantities need to be stored and the product will continue to run for many years. In this case, we will support you in developing an equivalent alternative. Guaranteed! In this way, complete recertification can be avoided and your costs are minimized. Functionally identical alternatives are often available, so that a change is simple. However, complete replicas and emulations are also conceivable.
Preventive obsolescence management
Right from the design phase, we ensure that all materials used have a low probability of obsolescence. Where possible, we use components with identical alternatives right from the start. We design with foresight so that changes can be easily implemented and advise you on typical components that are widely used and therefore subject to a lower risk of obsolescence.
