Front glasses can exhibit an anti-bacterial effect through the application of a nano-silver coating. Upon contact with silver ions, bacterial growth is inhibited, and the cell nucleus is damaged, leading to the eradication of bacteria.
The anti-bacterial coating can reduce the number of bacteria present on the glass by up to 99%. This effect is constant and does not diminish over time.
Such a coating is particularly suitable for use in medical devices or public areas where surfaces are frequently touched by numerous individuals.
However, the minimum order quantities for such glasses are substantial, making them viable only for larger production volumes.
