Novatek Microelectronics is currently informing its key customers that it will more or less withdraw from the production of display controllers for monochrome LCDs. All other areas remain unaffected.
Since the display controllers of the NT75/NT76/NT77 series enjoyed growing popularity especially in the 2000s (especially the controllers NT7532, NT7534, NT7538 and NT75451), they are still used in many projects today. A hardware or software adaptation is usually no longer possible here, or only with considerable effort.
Many LCD microelectronics projects - almost all of them older than ten years - are also affected by this.
We are currently working with our customers to develop replacement solutions for the aforementioned Novatek controllers so that compatible displays can continue to be used in older projects in the future. Various alternatives are already available and can be offered at short notice.
