Complex glass processing and back printing with 7″ TFT
The reference project combines several sophisticated solutions on a 34 x 19 cm front glass. In addition to a glass aperture, the edges of which were rounded and polished, the outer sides were also processed accordingly so that the glass could be placed in the housing without a frame and had no joints to the front. Furthermore, a concave touch point was milled into the glass, which was designed to do without edges. Behind the glass is a hidden effect print, which can be illuminated in several colors, as well as a 7″ TFT. The operating front is finished in our in-house assembly department.

Antibacterial touch coating
In addition to the targeted cleaning of surfaces, a nano-silver coating can also help to combat bacteria. The silver particles have an anti-bacterial effect and can reduce bacteria by up to 99%.
However, even without a special coating, front glasses are very suitable for use in the medical sector. The material can be disinfected very well and is not attacked by common cleaning agents. Operating underlying touchscreens with medical gloves is no problem.
Low-joint design
Cleaning is always a challenge with medical devices. Surfaces must be resistant to cleaning agents and should have as few gaps as possible where dirt can collect. The classic option is therefore a membrane keypad that is glued to the product. This variant is also often used in combination with a passive LCD. Glass fronts, which can either be recessed into the housing and sealed accordingly or mounted in such a way that the mounting joint is behind the front, are now being used more and more frequently. We have already implemented all variants in a number of projects and would be happy to advise you.
