Complex Glass Processing and Back Printing with 7″ TFT
This reference project integrates several sophisticated solutions into a single 34 x 19 cm front glass. In addition to a glass cutout with rounded and polished edges, the outer edges were also processed accordingly, allowing the glass to be mounted flush into the housing without a frame and without visible seams on the front. Furthermore, a concave touch point was milled into the glass, designed to be edgeless. Behind the glass, there is a hidden effect print that can be illuminated in multiple colors, as well as a 7″ TFT display. The final assembly of the control front takes place in our in-house production facility.

Antibacterial Touch Coating
In addition to targeted surface cleaning, a nano-silver coating can also aid in combating bacteria. The silver particles possess an antibacterial effect and can reduce bacteria by up to 99%.
However, even without a special coating, front glasses are highly suitable for use in the medical sector. The material is easily disinfected and is not compromised by common cleaning agents. Operation of underlying touchscreens with medical gloves presents no issue.
Seamless Design
Cleaning always presents a challenge for medical devices. Surfaces must be resistant to cleaning agents and ideally should not have any seams where dirt can accumulate. The traditional solution is therefore a membrane keypad adhered to the product. This variant is also often used in combination with a passive LCD. Increasingly, glass fronts are being employed, which can either be recessed into the housing and sealed accordingly, or mounted in such a way that the assembly joint is concealed behind the front.
