TFT solution with heat sensors and optimized object detection
A long service life of 100,000 hours combined with high temperatures are normally contradictory requirements for an LCD. The service life of backlights in particular is normally only designed for around 20,000 hours. Thanks to various measures, such as a special backlight design, temperature sensors and an optimized touchscreen in conjunction with a heat-dissipating design, the customer's requirements were nevertheless met.

Detection of objects and liquids
The sensitivity of capacitive touchscreens is also their weak point: liquids or objects placed on the touch can cause false triggering, which can be critical for safety-relevant functions. It also becomes difficult if operation is to be possible with a wet touch or if operation with thick gloves is desired. In this case, the software must be precisely coordinated and differentiate between desired and undesired inputs. We have already implemented such solutions in a large number of projects and have the know-how to optimize them directly.
Smart TFT with integrated brightness sensor
Everyone is familiar with brightness sensors from their own smartphone. But the integration of a brightness sensor can also make sense for other energy-saving applications. This allows the display to be dimmed or switched off in dark rooms or when the display is covered. This not only saves energy, but also extends the service life. In our reference product, the sensor was used to show the display only when the product was open.
