Novatek Microelectronics is currently informing its key customers that it will more or less withdraw from the production of display controllers for monochrome LCDs. All other divisions remain unaffected by this.
As the NT75/NT76/NT77 series display controllers gained increasing popularity, particularly during the 2000s (especially controllers NT7532, NT7534, NT7538, and NT75451), they are still utilized in numerous projects today. Hardware or software modifications for these are often no longer feasible or can only be accomplished with significant effort.
Many projects by LCD Microelectronics – almost all older than ten years – are also affected by this.
We are currently collaborating with our customers to develop replacement solutions for the aforementioned Novatek controllers, ensuring that compatible displays can continue to be used in older projects in the future. Various alternatives are already available and can be offered on short notice.
